The synesthetic photographs begin with how I experience perception. I have aphantasia, most of the time my mind’s eye is black, only when I taste something does color appear. I images are built from paper and light to give form to that experience. They don’t recreate something seen, they hold onto something that usually slips away, unseen. This work sits in that space, between what can be felt and what can be shown.
